What Is Suno? A Straight Answer on Models, Downloads and Limits

What Suno actually does

You write a description such as "late-night Mandarin pop, piano intro, warm female vocal" and get two finished tracks back. It also generates instrumentals only, sings in a voice you provide, and can cover or extend an existing song.

It replaces the arrangement-perform-mix chain. It does not replace your judgement: which take to keep and what to fix is still your call.

Which models are live

V6 is the current default (with Wild and Mini variants). V5.5 and every earlier model were retired when V6 launched - they cannot be used for new generations, though older tracks stay in your library and can still be played, shared and used as source material.

Free plan and download limits

Extra downloads are purchasable. Songs made on the free plan are for personal use only - commercial rights come with a paid plan, and the rule counts retroactively.

Using it from China, or from your own code

The official site needs a login and a stable international connection. If you want a Chinese interface that opens straight away, or you need to generate from your own application, we run both: the web workspace and an HTTP API.

A generation costs 0.6 CNY and returns two tracks; MP3 and WAV downloads are unlimited, and signing up takes an email address rather than a phone number.
